Nilos Bakas

March 24, 1940 - September 19, 2025

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Nilos Bakas on September 19, 2025, at the age of 85.

Nilos was born in Kalamata, Greece to Panagioti and Dimitra Bakas. He lived a full and meaningful life defined by love, kindness, hard work and unwavering devotion to his friends and family.

He is survived by his wife Glykeria, daughters Dimitra (Luke) and Maria (Gino), grandchildren Zoey, James and Massimo and sister Pagona (George).

He will be fondly remembered as a man of honour and loyalty who was always dressed to impress.

We are thankful for all of the love, laughter and guidance you brought into our lives. Until we meet again.

What can I say 😢 in a moment like this??
I have no words , I have burning Tears on my face.
I've lost a Great Friend, και Πατριώτη.
Νείλο why did you go ?? We were planning to go to our village where we were born and lived a few years.
Then we Left our little village for a better way of life 🧬 😢❤️.
Today with a broken heart 💔 and tears I'm going through our lives in Greece.
Happy Days , young children with no worries about anything, playing in our little village ....
I'm Toronto , you and my brother Bill 😢 friends, with many worries....
And now you'll find you friend , my beloved brother 😢💔.in a world where , there's No worried, no bad days , only 🙏 ....
You'll be Missed my friend 😭 😭,
