Nicholas Torkos

December 22, 1936 -  September 29, 2021

TORKOS, Nicholas, passed away peacefully at Hill House Hospice on September 29th, 2021, at 84 years of age. Nick was surrounded by his loving, devoted family and friends up until his passing. He leaves behind his wife, Niki; and his sons, Chris (Lorrie), Danny (Helen) and Steven (Susan) and his 6 grandchildren, Michael , Kevin, Nicholas, Stefano, Nikki and Alexis.

Nick was a very strong and proud Greek Orthodox man and also was a very caring, hardworking, generous and an outgoing person, He always had a smile on his face and joked constantly.

Nick enjoyed playing golf, spending time in his garage, watching sports (especially soccer), but his passion and greatest achievements were his family.

He touched the hearts of all those who knew him and he will be greatly missed, but will never be forgotten.

A public viewing will take place on Sunday October 3rd, 2021 at Elgin Mills Funeral Centre (1591 Elgin Mills Road East, Richmond Hill) between 1 pm - 3 pm and 5 pm - 7 pm.

The memorial service will be held on Monday October 4th, 2021 at St. Panteleimon Greek Orthodox Church (11323 Warden Ave, Markham) at 10 am. A burial will follow at Elgin Mills Cemetery (1591 Elgin Mills Rd E, Richmond Hill) at 11:30 am.

Following the burial the family invites you to join them for a memorial lunch at Astoria Restaurant (1620 Elgin Mills Rd E,). All are welcome to attend.

Please note that all attendees will need to wear masks and follow Covid-19 protocols; in addition you must show proof of double vaccination in order to attend the luncheon at Astoria Restaurant.

In lieu of flowers, donations β€œin memory of” can be made to Scarborough Health Network (www.shn.ca/) or Hill House Hospice (www.hillhousehospice.com/donations).
