Eric Kwong-Sun Ng passed away peacefully on July 11, 2017.

Eric was born on January 10, 1932 in Guangdong Province, China and came to Canada in 1950.

Eric was married 50 years to his beautiful and caring wife, Cathy, and was a very proud father of his 4 children: Eric Jr. (Sonia), Andrea (Rick), Andrew, Victor (Shakila) and 6 grandchildren: Vanessa, Ethan, Kira, Jared, Jasmine, and Isabel.

Eric was the oldest of 7 children. His family included younger sister Mei-Hun, her husband Chun-Chung Der and their 2 children, Alice and Violet. Younger brother, George Kwok-Jun. Brother Kwok-Yim, his wife Chee-Ying and their 2 children, Norman and Nettie. Brother Patrick Kwok-Yeung, his wife May and their 2 children, Denise and Benton. And brother David Kwok-Wai, his wife Shirla and their 2 children, Alex and Chris.

After coming to Canada, Eric continued his education, earning his B.Eng from McGill University and his Ph.D degree from the University of Calgary. After graduating, he worked as a research chemist at a number of organizations, his last 20 years spent at the
Liquor Control Board of Ontario (LCBO), before retiring in 1997.

Uncle Eric was the groomsman at my father's wedding 58 years ago. I had the pleasure of meeting Uncle Eric 12 years ago when Dad came to visit me in Toronto. They were kindred spirits and I miss them dearly. My condolences to the Ng family.
