Neville Stanley McLaren- “Devoted husband, father, brother and friend”

Neville Stanley McLaren fondly known as “Mackie” was born on February 24, 1961 to parents Stanley McLaren and Penice McLaren in Kingston, Jamaica. He departed this life on October 13, 2019. He was a loving and faithful husband of 34 years to Lola McLaren and father to Lisa McLaren (Pilgrim).

He graduated from the University of Technology, Jamaica, formerly the College of Arts, Science and Technology with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He taught Industrial Arts at the Denham Town Secondary School and was employed by East Ocean Textile as a Quality Assurance Manager. He migrated to Canada with his wife Lola in 1988.

Neville worked as an auto mechanic at R & S Auto in Toronto. In addition to his regular duties, he was responsible for training students from Centennial College in the field of auto mechanics. He worked as an Aircraft Technician at Bombardier Aerospace/De Havilland Aircraft of Canada Ltd until his passing.

He is predeceased by his parents Stanley and Penice McLaren. He is survived by his loving wife, Lola McLaren and daughter Lisa McLaren (Pilgrim), sisters: Pauline McLaren (Fraser), Donnett McLaren, Colleen McLaren (Johnston), son-in-law Marcus Pilgrim, nieces: Ashley Johnston, Anika Boreland, nephews: Wilston (Ian) Johnston, Kyanu Boreland; and many other close relatives and friends.

We got hired at Bombardier in February 2006.
Great personality , my fellow Jamaican. Always approachable , pleasant . We share a common interest......motor vehicles, but he was the expert in that field.
