Nelson Yet Sing Seto suddenly passed away at the age of 90, on June 17, 2023 surrounded by his wife and family.

Nelson was born in China and in his youth immigrated to Canada. Nelson worked in North Bay at the Golden Dragon Restaurant and Chicago Restaurant. There he met his loving wife, Teresa, and started a family.

Later he moved with his family to Toronto, where he eventually worked as a maitre d’ at the Royal Canadian Yacht Club until his retirement.

Nelson’s hobbies including fishing in North Bay. He enjoyed gardening and particularly cultivating orchids at his home in Toronto. He also enjoyed preparing dinners for family get-togethers, and was skilled at fixing and renovating his house.

Nelson will be missed by his wife, Teresa, his children Michael (Christine), Connie (David), Emily (Kent), and his grandchildren Matthew, Rachel, Nathan, Isaac, Sabra, and Ryla.
