In memory of

Nancy Yuen Mei Wong

August 14, 1944 -  May 2, 2021

Nancy Yuen Mei Wong, age 76, passed away peacefully on the morning of May 2nd, 2021 at Michael Garron Hospital after a courageous 16 month battle with cancer. She was born August 14, 1944 in Macau, China to Kin Cho and Kan Hung. She married Suey Che (Peter) Wong in 1965, moved to Toronto , Canada in 1966, and started what would be an exemplary life.

Nancy balanced her career and family. After semi-retirement from office life where she worked as a book-keeper at Singer Lighting and later as benefits administrator at Goodwill Industries, she started a second and fulfilling career as a real estate agent with Living Realty. But she was most proud of her own children and grandchildren. And she also always loved spending time with her extended family on special occasions. She treated everyone she met and knew with kindness and acceptance.

She discovered a passion in ballroom dancing and participated in several dance competitions as well as instructed. One of her other hobbies was to spend time tending to a beautiful garden in their Toronto home. When she and her husband moved to their condo, she still kept beautiful plants and vegetables on their balcony. In recent years, Nancy and Peter would enjoy their life’s successes by taking trips and cruises to Europe, Scandinavia, Caribbean, and Alaska. She also found time to learn the internet to stay connected with friends and family around the world and found joy in cooking for her family using recipes and techniques she learned.

Nancy is survived by her husband Suey Che Wong; her sister Yuen Wah; Sons Warren and wife Betty, Wallace and wife Marissa, and Warner; grandchildren Tyler, Aidan, and Jason.

Due to the restrictions imposed by COVID-19, unfortunately, we cannot gather together at this time. The visitation and service for Nancy will be private for immediate family members only.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Michael Garron Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family. You can donate in the memory of Nancy by using the ‘Make a Donation’ button at the top of this page. Alternatively, you can make a donation to a charity of your choice.

Dear Uncle Peter, Wallace, Marissa, Warren, Betty, Warner, Aidan, Tyler and Jason,

I'm very sorry to hear about the passing of your mother and grandmother, Nancy. My sincere sympathies and heartfelt condolences.

Your mother was a very kind and gracious woman, and even though I only saw her from time to time, I'll always remember being greeted by her warm
smile and having a short conversation with her.

I share your grief, and believe she is now smiling down on us all from Heaven above.

May God watch over each of you and may you find comfort and peace through Him.

In God's Love,

Perry.
