Nancy McTaggart Clewes (1930-2024) born in Winnipeg and raised in Toronto. Predeceased by her siblings Donald, Bruce and Lois. Leaving behind dear in laws Betty McTaggart and Arch Harvey. Dedicated Mother to Gordon, Thomas and Allison. Loving Grandmother to Danielle, Thomas, Andrew and Ava. Nancy loved music. She was a member of the Leslie Bell Singers who opened the first CBC television program in the 1950s. In mid life she started teaching choir which led to her career as a school teacher in Scarborough. She started at York University in her forties and gained two degrees.
In retirement she loved to travel, volunteered for various organizations, tutored ESL and honed her skills as a talented painter.
In lieu of flowers, donations could be made to Operation Smile, Canadian Wildlife Federation or a charity of your choice. There will be a private graveside service.

Our deepest sympathy, Allison on the loss of your Mum.
She was our longtime neighbour and good friend, we got to know Nancy through our mutual four-legged friends in Rippleton Park .
