In memory of

Nancy Jozsa

November 1, 1957 -  February 21, 2021

Nancy Józsa (née Fazekas) passed away in the afternoon of Sunday, February 21, 2021 surrounded by her loved ones.

Nancy was, above all, a loving mother and wife; her #1 pride and joy was to be a Mom as she devoted her life to her children and grandchildren. She was married to her husband, Jozsef, for 43 years.

Nancy battled most of her life with many health challenges including Systemic Scleroderma, Pulmonary Hypertension and Polymyositis. In the last 2-3 weeks of her life, she was also diagnosed with Cancer and her condition quickly declined. She taught her family strength and courage, and taught others how to love and deeply care for one another.

Nancy lived until 63 years old and ensured she filled all those years with loving memories. She fought hard to live to see both of her daughters, Monika and Livia, graduate post-secondary studies and marry. She also lived to see the birth of 2 grandchildren, Paige and Whitney.

She lived for the good days, always smiling and upbeat, ready to play with her granddaughters whenever possible. She wanted to ensure that her family was always taken care of and was truly a “Mama Bear” throughout.

Nancy was a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend and survivor. She is survived by her husband, Jozsef Józsa, her two daughters, Livia Peszt (née Józsa, husband Darek Peszt) and Monika Kennedy (husband Jordan Kennedy), and granddaughters, Paige and Whitney Kennedy.

Nancy grew up in Orangeville, Ontario. She was a simple and selfless person at heart. Nancy was a Legal Assistant and inspired her daughter, Livia, to become a lawyer. Nancy was known to doctors, nurses, friends and family for her positive outlook and kind heart.

A small Catholic funeral comprised of only immediate family will be held at The Simple Alternative in Mississauga on February 25, 2021.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Nancy’s memory may be made to the Scleroderma Society of Ontario or the Canadian Cancer Society.

We send our deepest condolences to the whole family.
Nancy was a kind, sweet lady who always had a smile regardless of what she was going through. She certainly was in inspiration to all who were fortunate enough to have known her.
Unfortunately, disease become too much for her to bare.
Peace be with you Nancy. May God watch over you now.
Love Bruce & Kathy Kennedy
