In memory of

Muoi Lam

July 1, 1916 -  November 9, 2017

Lam Muoi (林妹) passed away peacefully at home early morning on November 9th 2017 at 6:03am in Toronto, Ontario (Canada) at the age of 101 surrounded by her family.

Our grandmother Lam Muoi (林妹) was born on July 1, 1916 in China (中國) and married our late grandfather Lam Ky (林其) in her teenage years.

Together our Grandparents struggled through the hardships of surviving through War Era China and later built a life together in Vietnam raising their children.

She was a fighter, a survivor, and all around the most beautiful person we knew. She radiated poise and elegance. She made us feel loved beyond measures. We consider her not only the most influential person of our childhood, but of our entire life. She was the pillar and matriarch to our Lam family.

Grandma you will live in our hearts forever. We will always love you and we will never, ever forget all that you taught us.

Rest in peace. WE LOVE YOU GRANDMA, from all of us!

I just lost my beloved grandma who passed away on 9th November 2017 of illness and we will miss her terribly.
She was one special lady and the loss of her is felt deeply by many, even though she lived a full life. For the past few months, she bravely fought through her illness due to ageing. And seeing her suffer in those last week was extremely difficult.

The love of a grandma is unique. She played a big part in my childhood. She taught me a lot and the meaning of family. She has never been just ‘my grandmother’, but my guardian, my friend and my inspiration.

Still, we can’t believe my lovely Grandma was taken away from us. We will miss our Grandmother, but her spirit and strength, lives on in each of us and in the lives that she touched. She lives on in me and in all those who have been touched by the love, strength, conviction, wisdom, and beauty of her soul.

Love you grandma – You truly were a special, special woman! You may have passed on, but your memories would always live on within us. Thank you for your sacrifices, your care and concern, your love and everything that you have done for me. Wherever you are, I know you are in a much better place. I will be forever grateful and thankful that you are my ‘grandmother’.

Rest in Peace Grandmother...we will never forget you and
we will always love you forever...
