In memory of

Mr. Chan Tong Wong 黃燦棠先生

May 12, 1946 -  May 19, 2022

Chan Tong Wong was born on May 12th 1946 in Taishan, Guangdong China.

As a young boy, he often got into some antics that got him into trouble with his mother. He would often laugh as he reminisced about the hijinks he'd used to pull. Those closest to him will be very familiar with the “Neighbour's Chicken” story.

Eventually when the pranks subsided, he met his soul mate and mother of his future daughters. According to him, it was love at first sight and he promised himself one day he’d marry her.

As a devoted father, provider and protector he often worked long hours to provide a good life for his family. When he’d come home late at night he would check on everyone, ensuring everybody had blankets covering them before getting ready for bed.

As a doting grandfather, he was often the first to be pulled into the playroom with the kids. He never shied away from getting dirty with paint and playdough all over his hands and face; he also loved dancing and playing hide and seek - as long as it was with the kids, he was always the first participate.

When he got sick, it was incredibly painful for our family to watch his decline, we are grateful we had the opportunity to tell him how much he was loved and appreciated. He was an amazing husband, father and grandfather.

His love and support was the pillar of our family; he will never truly be gone because we have so many beautiful memories with him.
