It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our devoted father, Mirek. He came to Canada in 1983, and through his tireless work and dedication, he provided a loving and supportive life for his family.

Mirek was a true source of joy and laughter. With his signature line, "What's on your shirt?" — followed by a laugh as people fell for the playful prank — he brought smiles to everyone he met. His love for telling jokes and making others laugh was infectious, and he cherished the moments when those around him were happy.

Mirek’s love for sports was immense, and he sacrificed countless hours taking his kids to games and practices, always cheering them on. He spent many happy hours at the local arena or soccer field, watching his children and later young adults play. He also enjoyed spending time with other parents, forming lasting friendships along the way.

After retiring, Mirek discovered a talent for cooking and became an incredible chef. He perfected Polish dishes such as cabbage rolls and pierogis, and his love for food extended to sharing it with others. He often cooked for the local shelter in Mission, BC, and made sure to share his meals with neighbors, friends and family, always delighted to see people enjoy his cooking.

Mirek was adored by those who knew him. He was a favorite uncle to many nephews and nieces, offering kindness and humility in everything he did. His warmth, generosity, and sense of humor will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him

His legacy of love, laughter, hard work and selflessness will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know him.
