In memory of

馮陳敏靜夫人 Min Jing Chen

May 30, 1966 -  June 19, 2024

Min Jing, affectionately known as Elaine, age 58, passed away peacefully in the early hours of June 19, 2024, at 3:30 AM. Her sudden diagnosis of stage 4 undifferentiated large cell lung cancer, discovered less than two months ago, was met with courage and grace. Her last words to the nurse at 2:45 AM were, "I feel fine," accompanied by a smile. After receiving IV pain medication in the late evening, she passed away peacefully in her sleep.

Elaine's health challenges began on April 22 when she visited the ER, and two days later, on April 24, doctors discovered a life-threatening brain tumor. She underwent surgery and was healing well, slowly regaining her strength. After a brief period at home, Elaine had to return to the ER on May 30, her birthday, due to a worsening wheezing cough that was diagnosed as pneumonia. She was then admitted to the Sunnybrook C2 wing, where she spent the last 3 weeks of her life.

Elaine was a beacon of warmth and kindness. She devoted her life to her family and friends, always putting others before herself. Her compassionate spirit and unwavering support will be deeply missed by her loved ones.

Elaine is survived by her loving spouse, Roger, her children, Albert and Henrik. She leaves behind a legacy of cherished memories, laughter, and love that will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

Though her time with us was too short, Elaine's impact on our lives will remain forever. Her love, strength, and spirit will continue to guide and inspire us every day.

Rest in peace, Mom. You will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
