In memory of

Mike Semcos

November 8, 1938 -  January 19, 2022

The family of Mike Semcos of Markham is saddened to announce his passing on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at the age of 83. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Antigoni and their children: James and Diane (Tony) Panoff; their adored grandchildren: Samantha (fiancé Philip Rossi) and Michael, who is also his namesake, as well as numerous relatives and friends.

Mike was born in Florina, Greece in 1938 and married Antigoni the love of his life on December 29, 1962. Together they immigrated to Canada where they started their family. Mike was a gentle man with a dry sense of humour and wit. He was a God Loving man and lived an authentic and Christian life. He was a carpenter by trade and worked hard to provide for his family.

He was a true family man and adored his children but was especially proud of his grandchildren. They were his pride and joy. His arms were always open for hugs and kisses. Whenever there was a joyous event, Mike would be there celebrating and smiling with everyone but in moments of sadness, his strength and support was unmatched.

He was truly a beautiful and humble man. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten because he loved strongly and was equally loved in return. May his memory be eternal as he joins our Lord.
