In memory of

Mien Kim Chung

November 2, 1967 -  April 4, 2020

Kim Chung peacefully passed away on Saturday April 4, 2020 at her home in Scarborough, Ontario. She was 52 years old. Her battle with gastric cancer was a short one, but she was tough throughout. Kim was born on November 2, 1967 in Saigon Vietnam to Tu and Nu Chung. She worked as a project manager for OPG and enjoyed her job immensely. Kim truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; chatting with friends and family, snacking, entertaining, vacationing and spending time with her nieces and nephews. Kim was always upbeat, positive, energetic and cheerful to be around. She is survived by her parents and sisters, Mimi (husband Christopher), Melissa (husband Ron), Melain and Samantha. Kim was predeceased by her brother Brandon Chung (wife Carol) in 2016. She was “Aunty Kim” to her nieces Charlotte, Cassandra, Maggie, Tiffany and nephews Tyler, Tobey and Lucas. Kim had the unique ability to enlighten and create joy to all who happened to cross paths with her including many friends and co-workers supporting her until the end. Kim had a small family burial on Saturday April 11, 2020 at York Cemetery 160 Beecroft Road North York.

Kim, you and Mimi practically raised me. You were always there to take care of me, my health and dental needs when I was younger. I will always cherish you close to my heart. We miss you dearly.

Having worked for over 10 years with Kim, I consider her a truly remarkable co-worker and friend. She always came in with her bright smile and her boundless energy and enthusiasm for work. She was the “go-to” person to get things done in our department.

I consider myself blessed to have been a friend of Kim’s . She was always kind and giving and never lost her temper with anyone. She made the work environment at OPG a nicer place. She will be sadly missed but never forgotten.

My deepest condolences. I worked with Kim and along with Shirley we had a lot of laughs over many dinners out. We always enjoyed comparing our trips. She will always be in my thoughts.

My deepest condolences to Kim's family & friends. Kim was a kind and caring individual, always thinking of others, and always sharing yummy snacks. She was a leader and everyone could tell she genuinely enjoyed what she did. Her work ethic was an inspiration. She will be missed, and always be in our thoughts.
