September 28, 1981 - March 16, 2018

It is with heavy hearts and profound sorrow that the Trantau family announces the passing of Michael David Trantau on Friday, March 16, 2018. Michael was struck down in the prime of his life by a rare, highly aggressive form of cancer. He passed away at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Michael, loving husband of Cristina. Dear father of Nicole, Matthew and Mark. Beloved son of Walter and Michele. Loved grandson of the late Julius and Alice, and the late Nikola Matic and Zora. Dear brother of Christopher. Fondly remembered by his aunts, uncles, cousins and loyal friends. Friends may call at PINE HILLS CEMETERY & FUNERAL CENTRE, 625 Birchmount Rd., Scarborough (north of St. Clair Ave. E., 416-267-8229) on Thursday, March 22nd from 5 pm - 8 pm and Friday, March 23rd from 10 am - 11 am. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 23rd at 11 am and will be followed by interment at Pine Hills Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Michael's memory to a Go Fund Me set up to assist Michael's young family.
