Michael Thomas MacDougall, 36, died suddenly on Wednesday, April 22, 2020 in Toronto, Ontario.

Michael (Mike) was born on June 10, 1983, in Burlington, Ontario. He was incredibly kind, caring and hilarious.

He also leaves behind his mother- and father-in-law, Paula and Alex Anderson; his brother, Kevin (Roni); his twin sister, Heather; his brother-in-law, Robert (Tracey) and sister-in-law, Kimberly (Amrin). Mike was a loving uncle to his nieces Parker, Ruby, Lake, Alexandra and Olivia. He will be missed by his extended family, his large circle of close friends and his cherished four-legged friend, Milan.

He is predeceased by grandparents, Thomas Voisey and Janet Voisey (née Hood), Nellie Miller (MacDougall, née Tomson) and Harry MacDougall.

After graduating from the Hotel Management and Concierge Services Programs at Fanshawe in London, Ontario, Mike moved to Toronto, where he had a fulfilling 15-year career at the Intercontinental Hotel on Front Street.

Mike had many passions, including gardens, animals, travelling the world, ice cream and Christmas lights.

An event to celebrate Mike’s life will take place at a later date. At that time, Mike will be laid to rest in the Garden of Remembrance in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mike may be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA Toronto) using the website below. Thank you for your support during this difficult time.

My heart goes out to all of Michael’s family and to my cousin Jersey - xx. Extremely sorry for your loss. I had the opportunity to spend time with Michael last summer at a family BBQ - and walked away with great memories. He had a kind spirit and gentle nature about him.

My deepest condolences to everyone.

Denise xx
