With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Michael Dukhilall, affectionately known as Mike or ‘Mike D’ on June 16, 2025, at Ian Anderson House Hospice with his loving wife, Sherry by his side, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was 66 years old.

Born on October 30, 1958, in Georgetown, Guyana, Michael lived a life grounded in unwavering faith, humility, and service. He was the beloved husband of Sherry, his devoted partner and best friend for 41 years.

Michael was a loving and dedicated father to Simonne and Michelle, and a proud and joy-filled “Papa” to his cherished grandchildren: Micah, Silas, and Jeremiah. He was a supportive and kind father-in-law to Marcus and Amos, and a beloved brother-in-law to Talib, Carole, Marilyn, Arilyn, Noel and Roy whose humour and steady presence brought joy to every gathering. He was and a constant source of strength and wisdom to his family.

Michael is survived by his dear sister Ann, and predeceased by his parents, Reginald and Eleanor Dukhilall, and his brother George.

He was an inspiring mentor, a deeply involved uncle and great-uncle, and an beloved nephew and cousin. Admired by his peers, Michael was respected by colleagues for his integrity, dedication, and kindness.

A man of deep conviction, Michael’s faith guided him in all aspects of life. He lived each day with purpose, grace, and gratitude—uplifting others through his words, actions, and enduring spirit. His sense of humour, steady presence, and loving heart left a lasting mark on all who knew him.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, from 2:00–4:00 p.m. and 6:00–8:00 p.m. at Meadowvale Cemetery, Cremation and Funeral Centre. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to Ian Anderson House Hospice, in honour of the exceptional care provided during Michael’s final journey.

Michael’s legacy of faith, love, and quiet strength will continue to live on in the hearts of those he touched. He will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
