Michael Garaci-After a courageous battle with a serious illness, Michael Garaci passed away peacefully on Palm Sunday, April 9, 2017 at Mount Sinai Hospital surrounded by family. A larger than life figure with the biggest heart will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife Diana Lynn and his son Michael-Thomas; his parents Angelo and Francisca as well as his brother Angelo, his wife Andrea and nieces Emily and Clare.

We are all so heartbroken by the passing of Mike. He was an amazing friend to both of us and our entire family. We will always remember his kindness, and his ability to make anyone smile. Always there to help whenever he could. The world is missing one special guy. We will truly miss you Mike!

J'aurais tellement voulu te voir une dernière fois pour discuter entre nous des vieux souvenirs que nous avons en commun mais les circonstances et la distance en ont décidé autrement. Durant toutes ces années j'ai souvent pensé à toi et à toute la famille aussi, bien entendu. Mais pour toi j'ai une tendresse toute particulière... J'ai encore en mémoire l'été 71, mes premières véritables vacances qui grâce à toi sont pour toujours gravée dans ma mémoire. Durant presque trois mois nous ne nous sommes pas quitté, partout où j'allais tu étais là, je voulais que tu traduise sans arrêt et ça t’agaçais par moment.... Je sais que depuis, un lien plus fort que "cousin" nous unis...j'aurais pu être ton grand frère.
Tu vois je n'écris pas au passé car pour moi tu est toujours là
