Passed away peacefully at home in Toronto on Thursday, July 31. Born and raised in Montreal, Mike was the son of the late Dr. Eugene and Anne Elkin and pre-deceased by his younger brother Robert. He was a beloved husband to Louise (née Mayerovitch) and son-in-law to the late Bob and Leba, a devoted father and father-in-law to Karen Elkin and Larry Kline and Brian Elkin and Sara Hollander, and a very proud Grampa to Jesse Kline and Asher Elkin. He also leaves behind a loving extended family and many friends.

Indoor memorial service, followed by a graveside burial service, will be held on Sunday, August 3rd at 10:30 am, at Elgin Mills Funeral Centre and Cemetery (Oraynu Congregation section), 1591 Elgin Mills Road East in Richmond Hill. Service will be live-streamed

Condolences to the Elkin family. Mike was always a cheerful guy and we kept in touch over the years although infrequently. But you could always get in touch with him and not realize that the years had flown by. He was that type of person. Conversations with him flowed easily.
The world was a better place with Mike in it. I will miss him, the world will miss him.

Arlene and I are so saddened to hear of the passing of my dear friendMike. He was one of my oldest and dearest friends dating back to our times in Montreal where we had great experiences. Mike was a warm and thoughtful person to everyone who knew him we are deeply sorry for your loss And may his memory be a blessing.
