In memory of

Michael Darren Oram

June 1, 1982 -  June 1, 2023

Michael Darren Oram sadly passed away on his 41st birthday on June 1, 2023. Mike was born third of a triplet birth on June 1, 1982 at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto, Ontario.

Mike was incredibly introspective and philosophical. He enjoyed debates and deep conversations, had an ability to talk to anyone and easily made friends. Mike was a truly gifted multi-instrumentalist musician, his main instrument of choice was the piano, but he was also accomplished in drums and guitar. His musicality was a huge part of his essence, and our family home was forever filled with music. He loved concerts and jam sessions and being with friends.

Michael leaves behind his loving parents Ivor and Shirley, his triplet- twin brother Andrew and twin sister Jessica (Glen), brother Patrick (Amanda), sister Stephanie (Dwain) and brother Christopher, his nephews and niece Riley, Maverick and Evie. His Uncle Doug and Aunts Daphne (Doug) and Eunice, his cousins Karen (Tony) and Kevin (Yukie) and Elizabeth (Bill), his best friend Marcus, many beloved friends and our cat Paris whom he loved.

As a child Michael loved attending camp and outdoor activities like watersports, camping and campfires. As an adult he enjoyed winter skiing, running, had many active summers at the cottage with family and enjoyed being in nature. He was a double major at York University in Philosophy and Music.

Michael believed in love, empathy, truth, forgiveness and religion. He was so intelligent, creative, vibrant, fun loving, enthusiastic and energetic, but also insightful, assiduous, incredibly sympathetic, easy going, so strong, good natured and kindhearted. His jovial spirit and unique light heartedness could change a bad mood in an instant. His goofy, but clever sense of humor is unmatched and will be sorrowfully missed.

If desired, memorial donations can be made in Michael’s name at the attached donation page link.
