In memory of

Michael Alfred Worthy

April 7, 1938 -  November 27, 2021

It is with great sadness and with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our dear father Michael Worthy in his 83rd year on Saturday, November 27, 2021, at Southlake Regional Health Centre. Beloved husband to his late wife, Yvette (nee Minor) and loving father to Douglas and his wife Louise, Suzanne and her husband Steven Fox, Elaine, Yvonne and her husband Mark Noesch and to Jennifer and her husband Guy Waterson. He was a proud grandfather to 11 grandchildren: Matthew, Sarah, Brandon, Jacquelynn, Cassandra, Samantha, Mara, Amy, Stephanie, Jonathan and Christa and 2 Great Grandchildren: Westyn and Alisyn. For our father, family always came first. He was a selfless provider, a devoted husband and adoring father. He will be remembered for his kind sole, his boyish nature and gentle laugh. The family would like to particularly thank the caring staff and many good friends (co-residents) he met at the Hollandview Trail Retirement Residence, a place he called home for the past 5 years. Michael's passing will be observed privately by his family, but those wishing to honour him can make donations to the Canadian Parkinson’s Society.

Our deepest condolences to the Worthy family on the loss of their Dad. I have such good memories of times spent with Uncle Mike and Aunt Vet and my Worthy cousins. Uncle Mike was always positive, fun and kind. He’ll live on in our hearts.

Nothing but fond memories of time spent with the Worthy's. Uncle Mike was always warm and welcoming. Quick with a joke and then in for the tickle. He will be missed. Our condolences.
