I met Melba over twenty years ago through Sweet Adelines, Ontario Heartland chapter. She was my section leader. Melba was always upbeat and ready to help, and with a good sense of humour, it was easy to become friends. We stayed in touch after we both left the chorus through annual lunch dates with Heather Weeden and Anne Coombs. I am so glad I met Melba and will miss her friendship always. Rest in peace Melba.
We will miss you, Melba. A great lady, fun, singer, teacher.will never forget our post chorus snacks at Moxie,a in Square one. And also celebrating our birthdays many times at competition in Syracuse!
We even dedicated a bridge over the 403 as Grandma,a bridge...Richard, my husband an engineer for Miss. Was the project manager and she and Melba received invitations to the opening.. she was so thrilled!!
Rest in peace dear friend.

Loved her dearly and what a wonderful lady. I will always think of all the wonderful times we had singing.
Melba was, in many ways, an inspiration.
Lovely obituary for a wonderful person
My thoughts are with you all
God bless
