In memory of

Mei Lam

January 17, 1941 -  August 7, 2023

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mei Lam, cherished wife, devoted mother, beloved grandmother, great grand mother, and a pillar of strength in our family. Born in Guangzhou, China on January 17, 1941, Mei's journey was one of strength, resilience, and unwavering love. She passed away peacefully on August 7th, 2023, leaving behind a legacy that will forever inspire those who were fortunate to know her.
In 1975, Mei embarked on a courageous journey to Canada, bringing her seven young daughters to Toronto, Ontario. This act of love and determination demonstrated her commitment to providing her family with a better life. Together with her late husband, Mr. Yat Ming Lam, she created a foundation of love and unity that would shape the lives of her children and generations to come.
Her role as a mother was one, she embraced wholeheartedly, raising her seven daughters with love, wisdom, and strength. Her role as a grandmother brought her immense joy, as she welcomed eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren into her heart. Her love and presence will continue to be felt in the lives of each and every one of them.
A private intimate funeral gathering, attended by family and close friends only, followed by a lunch reception to come together to remember and celebrate the beautiful life of Mei.
Though she may have left this world, her legacy of love, resilience, and compassion will forever be a guiding light in the lives of those she touched. Let us remember her with fondness, honor her memory, and carry her spirit in our hearts.
With love and remembrance,
Your Seven Daughters
