June 4, 1933 - August 17, 2018

Mavis was born in 1933 in Trinidad. She is survived by her three children Barry, Deryck and Karlene, and their families. A fourth child, Beverly, is deceased. Mavis has six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She passed away on Friday 17th August, 2018. She was 85 years old.

I knew Mr. and Mrs. MoonChong many years. I used to go down to their place on Lakeshore to have dinner. Mrs. MoonChong was always quiet and caring. Since Mr. MoonChong's passing I haven't kept in touch with her. Rest in peace Mrs. MoonChong.

The Moon Chong's are dear and long time friends of the family who were very much that; they're family. Fond memories of visits to their home in Toronto, and back home, will forever resonate deep within the recesses of my mind as warm, homey and happier days. It was not until my younger adult years that I reconnected with the family after they immigrated to Canada. Aunt Mavis was a warm, loving and caring person to all who were privileged to have been a part of her life. May God comfort her family and friends during this difficult time and may her soul rest in peace.
