Born Dublin, Ireland October 12, 1927. Passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Scarborough General Hospital on April 1, 2018. Beloved husband to Eileen for over 63 years. Father to Cathleen (George), Helen (Dave), Paul (Gail), Jennifer (Evan) and Gerard (Nicole). Loving Grandfather to Kevin (Lauren), Daniel (Deanne), Erica, Colin, Gavin, Mitchell, Erin, Matthew and Zachary. Loving Great Grandfather to Kate, Connor and Morrissey and an uncle to Sheila and Louise. Survived by sister Molly and brother Paddy. Maurice was an amazing storyteller, with a great wit and singing voice to match. He will be remembered as a loving husband, a devoted family man and a classic Irish gentleman. After a career with the City of Toronto, he retired as Director - Equipment Division, leaving him with many great memories and accomplishments. An avid sports fan always supporting his hometown Toronto Maple Leafs. The family would like to acknowledge the medical staff at Scarborough General hospital who took great care of him in his final days. Family and friends will be received at Pine Hills Funeral Centre (625 Birchmount Rd., north of St. Clair Ave. E., Scarborough, 416-267-8229) on Thursday, April 5, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held in the Pine Hills Chapel on Friday, April 6 at 2 p.m. Reception to follow.

Mo had some fabulous stories and he always left you with a smile on your face. He clearly had a life well lived and was a great role model for all of us.
I'm sad for the loss of Mo, but happy to have had the opportunity to know him.
