In memory of

Maurell Lamb Baxter

November 3, 1923 -  May 14, 2019

Baxter, Maurell Lamb- Mory passed away peacefully at home, at 95 1/2 years old; surrounded by his family including Bella his devoted caregiver. Predeceased after 72 wonderful years of marriage by his cherished wife Geraldine Ruth (Gerre). Lovingly remembered by his children Craig (Silvia), Bob (Lii), Barbara (John), his grandchildren Krista (Erik) and Anne (Paul) and his great grandchildren Liia, Miles, Stella, and Emerson.
Mory spent many years serving the Ontario construction industry through his company M. L. Baxter Equipment. He loved playing golf at Lambton Golf Club and enjoyed many beautiful summers at the cottage in Oro with family, the Seagrams and other cherished friends.
The family especially thanks Bella, dad’s caregiver extraordinaire. Dad was able to stay at home because of her diligent and loving care. We are also very grateful for the loving help of Jessa and Josie. The family also thanks the palliative care team including especially NP Alice Luk, and RN Rita.

In Lieu of Flowers a donation may be made to a charity of your choice.

Sadly years since I saw Maury but remember him well as that debonair, pleasant father of my friend, a welcoming host, and a gentleman.

The picture captures well my memory of Mory - sophisticated with a calm and friendly demeanour. I have such fond memories of his generous and welcoming presence in Oro on Lake Simcoe. Well done indeed, Mr. Baxter.
