To: Om Albert, Tt Swan and Family,

I cannot imagine how awful your world looks right now. I'm praying that hope and comfort flood your life during this dark time.
Psalm 62:1-2 says "My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from him. He alone is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken." Amen.

Matt was one of the first people I met when I started getting into climbing. He would walk around Boulderz wearing slippers that had mouths that opened and closed as he walked - I think they were dragons, and always had a smile on his face.

He took me to Niagra Glen for my first outdoor bouldering day, which turned into a regular event. Always stopping at the Vietnamese place with a laughing cow sign and looked like it had taken over a 60s diner for dinner. He could eat endless amounts of noodles after a day of bouldering.

We kept in touch after I moved West. We almost got to meet up in Vegas over Christmas but my husband and my flight plans changed. We had talked about him coming out this summer to climb. Whenever I was back visiting Toronto, Matt was ready for another climbing session in the Glen.

I hope he's found peace. He was a rock in the climbing community, always ready to volunteer for events and inspire others. You are missed.
