Our beloved sister Mary and Aunty Mary to her nieces and nephews was tiny, but mighty. Mary passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 14, 2024. She was 82 years old. The past few months has not been easy for her, but she is now at peace with no more suffering.

During her early years Mary went to England where she obtained her nursing degree. Mary practiced in England for a few years and later immigrated to Canada to join her siblings. In Toronto, Mary worked at Branson Hospital and later joined Etobicoke General Hospital, where she worked for 32 years.

Mary loved travelling with her brother, sister-in-law and niece Karen. They went on numerous cruises and visited a lot of interesting places.

Mary was very generous, selfless and kind-hearted to all her siblings, nieces and nephews. Mary encouraged her nieces and nephews to focus on their studies and have successful careers. The nieces and nephews remembered Aunty Mary always buying them books as gifts to read. She emphasized the importance of reading.

Mary enjoyed going to the casinos with Rita, Clare and Lisa. And while Mary didn't win the jackpot, a $20 win made her very happy.

Mary was family oriented and looked forward to family gatherings. Occasionally, she would meet up with all her retired nursing friends for dim sum lunch to catch up.

Mary will always be loved and never forgotten. You will remain in our hearts forever.
