In memory of

Mary Marjorie McDonald

February 6, 1935 -  June 11, 2021

It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of our beloved sister Mary Marjorie McDonald. She peacefully joined God from her home on Friday, June 11, 2021.

Margie was born on February 6, 1935 in Glace Bay Nova Scotia and moved to Toronto with her family in 1956. She was predeceased by her parents Mary Margaret and Dan Joseph McDonald and stepfather Edward Carson McLeod.
She was also predeceased by her sisters Francis Matilda McDonald, Pauline McDonald and Agnes Evans (Cubie) Brothers Alexis McDonald, and Daniel McDonald (Bunny).
Margie is survived by her Brothers Gordie (Kathy) MacDonald and John McLeod and Sisters Miriam Hall, Patricia Ogley and Sharon (Dan) Krisko

She also leaves a loving imprint on the hearts of her many many nieces and nephews.

She was a very special and devoted friend to Lilian Fraser.
Margie was an avid bowler for over 50 years with the Scarborough Arcs bowling league at Parkway Plaza.

As Elvis’ #1 fan, she is now with him wearing her blue suede shoes and rocking to Jailhouse Rock.

Margie was loved dearly by every person she met.

Special thank you to TransCare Community Support Services and the Palliative Care Team that made it possible to keep Margie at home during her final days.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private cremation has taken place. A formal burial as well as
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.

In Margie’s memory, donations may be sent to the Community Living Toronto or Shadow Lake Centre.

I miss you so much Margie. I can still hear you laughing and singing. Changing the words to the songs we would listen to. You were a great joy to my life, when I think of you all I do is smile.
I love you forever. Please give Grannie a great big hug for me. Xoxo

My deepest and heartfelt condolences to the family. My memories are not as strong as I would like, but I do remember bits of our childhood. Sharon I am so glad I got to see Margie just before covid hit. 🙏🙏
