In memory of

Mary Kathryn Coutts

January 18, 1926 -  October 19, 2017

In Loving Memory of Mary Kathryn (Kaye) Coutts, age 91, who passed away peacefully on the 19th of October 2017 at McCall Health Care Centre after a valiant struggle with vision and heart issues. Kaye, one of six children, was born on January 18th 1926 to Mary and Ernest Blizzard at Fredericton, New Brunswick.
Married to Charles Russell Coutts, a career army officer, Kaye’s early years revolved around raising children and dealing with the rigors of army life in such exotic locales such as Rivers, Manitoba and Fort Rucker, Alabama to mention just a couple and “running the show” when her husband was away on Deployment. In later years the family settled in the Brampton, Ontario area where Kaye pursued a career in real estate, known for her honesty and integrity, Kaye attained her Brokers license and began running her own successful real estate company.
Until her vision became an issue, Kaye was an avid bridge player, also enjoying golfing and summers at the cottage on Kennesis Lake in Haliburton, Ontario. Predeceased by her husband Charles and brother Don; she is survived by her sisters, Jean, Jet, Joyce and Margaret, her son David and daughter Susan and daughter in law Tricia. Kaye was a generous and loving Grandmother to Stephanie, Kaitlin, Sydney, James and Derek and Great Grandmother to our newest addition Henry.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Kaye’s long time helper, caregiver and friend, Tanya, who brought so much quality of life to Kaye in her later years! We would also like to thank the staff at Heritage House as well as Trillium and McCall Health Care Center for their caring efforts and compassion on Kaye’s behalf. Cremation has taken place and as per her wishes, there will be no formal service. A private family gathering will occur at a later date at Kaye’s final resting place, Victoria Lawn Cemetery, St. Catharines, Ontario. In lieu of flowers, a donation to Heritage House, Trillium Health Care Centre or McCall Health Care Center would be appreciated.

Dear David, Susan and families,

I’m so glad that Mom and I were able to visit with your mom last year. We had great fun and laughs. Also, I was very pleased to meet Tanya.

Our thoughts are with you as you face this very sad time.

With sympathy and care, Paula
