June 11, 1938 - August 18, 2023

Marlene Cresswell (nee Bain) passed away peacefully on Friday August 18, 2023 at her retirement residence. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by her children: Heather (Mark) Lawson, Greg (Sophal) and Glen (Maria). She loved all her grandchildren dearly: Joshua (Amelia), Brittany, Sarah, Bryan and Jacqueline. She was very excited when her great grandchildren Grace and Ellie were born. Predeceased by her loving husband Ron in 2015 after 56 years of marriage. Also predeceased by her parents Rudy and Lily Bain. She will be missed by her brother Larry (Bunny) and sister Nancy. She will also be missed by her many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

Even a though I haven’t seen her in years I have fond memories of family gatherings and spending overnights with Heather. I know the last few years were a struggle with that horrible disease. You are now at peace Aunt Marlene. Give Uncle Ron a hug💕

We are very sorry to hear about the passing of Marleen, our condolences to all.
I am a Kenora Bain, daughter of Addie (Adolph)Bain whose father, better known as Farmer was Rudy’s brother, Marleen ‘s father. I do remember meeting Rudy several times when he came to Kenora and stayed with my family. I met Marleen I believe it was in 2018 or 2019 at the family reunion that Greg organized, a wonderful event with so many extended family members.
