Dear Nonnie,

I’m going to miss you very much. I will never forget the way you cared for me when I was young. The way you fed me when I was hungry. They way you showed me parts of my city that I’d never seen before. The way you encouraged me to be socialable and inquisitive. Perhaps most importantly, I will never forget the example that you set for your friends and family to be a selfless, generous and compassionate human being. The world needs this now more than ever. You will always inspire me to be a better person and for this I thank you.

Ti voglio bene,
Mathew

Dearest Romano Family,
We are heartbroken to hear of Zia Marisa’s passing. She was so friendly, funny, and had the biggest most infectious laugh! We have the fondest memories of her. Zia is in our hearts and prayers, as you all are at this time.
With love 💕

Dear Lisa, Brian and family: We were very sad to hear about the passing of your mother. I had met her several times and was always touched by her warmth, generosity and sense of humour. She definitely was a wonderful woman who I enjoyed spending time with.

Losing a parent is difficult and I hope that you find some peace in knowing that she led a wonderful, full life. She got to see her family grown up and have families of their own - what a gift that is!!!
Cherish the memories, may she rest in peace.
Love always
Eoanna and family

Dear Nonnie,

It’s hard to believe you are gone because I’ve known your extraordinary love for my entire life. A love that always made me feel special, happy and secure. A love that was shown through countless acts of everyday selflessness and kindness towards me and the whole family: cooking and feeding us delicious meals, signing us songs as kids and giving us spoons to play with in the backyard, taking us to your favourite spot at the beach, teaching us valuable life lessons...and much much more. Your generosity and compassion for others have taught me the importance of fostering those attributes in my own life.
I love you and I miss you.
I know that the love you have shown to all those who were lucky enough to know you, and the excitement you had for life, will live on through all of us.

Love,
Your granddaughter Marisa

Nonnie,

I never thought the day would come where our family would have to say goodbye to you. You have been such an important, influential and constant figure in all of your grandchildren's lives. I will always remember everything you have done for us and the wisdom you passed on to me. The world was truly a better place because of you and your selflessness. Some of my favourite memories of growing up were going to your house to play and eat pastina, playing Fur Elise on the piano for you because you were so happy whenever I did, and always having big family parties for every occasion. Life is not going to be the same without you, but it comforts me knowing that you're now at peace. We all love you so much, forever in our hearts.

xo, Alysha
