Passed away peacefully on June 28, 2018 at The Scarborough & Rouge Hospital- Centenary at the age of 81. Loving husband of 60 years to Otilia. Devoted Dad of Anabela ( Stephen) Fonseca, and Mario (Michele) Oliveira. Cherished Papa of Ian (Fiona), Stefanie (Matt), Josh, and Eddie. Special brother of Amadeu, Maria and Delfina. Mario will be fondly remembered by his many extended family and friends. Family and friends can be received at The Simple Alternative Funeral Centres- Pickering, 1057 Brock Road (Brock Road & 401) on Thursday July 05, 2018 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Cremation has taken place. In honour of Mario’s life donation can be made to The Canadian Cancer Society.

Dear Otilia, Anna and family, we were so sorry to hear of Mario’s passing. I have fond memories of our conversations, it was always good to see Mario, especially at the Labour Day Parade along with Otilia. Mario was a respected member of Local 46, Plumbers & Steamfitters Union in Toronto and he will be fondly remembered by his many brother friends who had the privilege of knowing him... he was a good man.

Mario was a kind, gentle man, who brought smiles to many faces every time he showed up at a card game. He will be missed by many at our euchre club. Our sincerest condolences to the Oliveira family.
