In memory of

Mario De Simone

September 12, 1935 -  August 29, 2024

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Mario on August 29th, 2024.

Mario, a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, passed away at the age of 88 after a long, courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease. Mario was known for his deep love for his family, his sense of humour, and his passion for sports and food.

He was a devoted father to his three children, Delia, Paul, and Lori, and a loving father-in-law to Christian and Rodolfo. Incredibly proud Nonno to Anton, Helena, Eva, and Clara, who were the light of his life, and he cherished every moment spent with them.

Mario will always be fondly remembered by his sisters Marisa and Ornella as he joins his sister Gemma and three brothers-in-law, Gianni, Bruno and Arnaldo in Heaven. His love for family extended to his many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Mario built a respected career as a real estate broker. His integrity and dedication earned him the trust of clients and colleagues alike. His love for good food was only surpassed by his love for sports – especially the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Azzurri.

Though he faced the challenges of Parkinson’s disease with courage, he never let it define him and fought until the very end. If so desired, donations in Mario’s memory may be made to Parkinson Canada at Ways to Give - Parkinson Canada https://www.parkinson.ca/getinvolved/waystogive/
