Marian Carson Allin

March 1, 1929 - June 15, 2017

With great sadness, the Allin family announces the passing of Marian Carson Allin on June 15, 2017. She will be deeply missed by her loving husband, Drew Allin (a heritage member of Craigleith Ski Club); children Jeff (Lola), Heather, and Margot (Zoli); grandchildren Leslie (Steve), James (Tegan), Scott (Lyndsey), Max (Erika), and Clare; sisters Nancy Pearce and Gail Fosbrooke; and many other family and friends. Marian was a member of Craigleith for many decades. Her honesty, integrity, and caring nature was an inspiration to those around her. A memorial service will be held Tues. Jun. 27 at Pine Hills Cemetery and Funeral Centre, 625 Birchmount Rd, Scarborough, from 11:30am-2pm. In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested donations to the Red Cross or a charity of your choice.

My deepest condolences to Uncle Drew, Heather, Margot, and Jeff, and their families in the loss of Aunty Marian. Condolences also for my mum, Nancy and for Aunty Marian's other surviving sister, Aunty Gail. Aunty Marian was a lovely, kind, genuine woman who I was proud to call my Aunt. Even across the distance, she and Uncle Drew have always felt close, and no matter how much time passed between visits, when we did see each other, it was as if we'd only been apart a day. I will always have wonderful memories of our families spending time together, especially time spent around the pool at the Allin house - whether it was an afternoon swim and sun bathe, or a midnight swim before bed! Mrs. Allin was always a very classy lady - very kind and understanding through the travails of high school. I remember many enjoyable afternoons in the Allin pool.
