Passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 9, 2023, just before midnight at the age of 93.
Loving wife of the late Alceo (Archie). Loving mother of Elio (Linda) and Adam (Mark). Dear Grandmother of John (Annalise), Jennifer (Lucien), and David (Alexis). Proud Great Grandmother to Livio and Vince.
She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by relatives and friends.
Maria was a beautiful woman whose smile would light up a room. She loved to be surrounded by people. She loved to dance, garden, crochet and sew. She hosted many wonderful dinners for her family and friends. Her faith was ever important to her.
The family extends its gratitude and appreciation to everyone for the kindness and care they extended to Maria over the years. To her countless extended family, friends, neighbors, care workers and especially Wendie her constant companion and care giver over the past few years … words are simply not enough.

Visitations will be held at PINE HILLS FUNERAL CENTRE, 625 Birchmount Road (North of St Clair Av), 416 267-8229, on Thursday, November 16, 2023 from 2:00 pm to 4:00pm and from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Theresa’s Shrine of the Little Flower, 2559 Kingston Road (at Midland Av.), Scarborough on Friday, November 17, 2023 at 9:00 am. Entombment to follow at Pine Hills Cemetery.
