Kadlcek, Maria Anna

August 15 1929- April 14 2021

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Maria Anna Kadlcek on April 14, 2021.
She was the beloved wife and best friend of Frank Kadlcek, her husband of 41 years. Maria Anna was a nurse at Sick Kids Hospital for over 40 years. She never had any children of her own but took care of many children during her years as a nurse at Sick Kids as if they were her own.
She lived in Pottageville, Ontario and after Frank passed away she moved to Newmarket.
Recently she had moved to a retirement home, The Elden of Bradford, where she enjoyed the kind company of the other residents and the excellent care during her peaceful retirement.

Maria Anna was never one to draw attention to herself, and was always kind, patient and appreciative of everything in life. There was not one day that did not go by that she did not say thank you. Maria Anna was truly a lovely soul who gave so much and without ever asking for anything in return. She leaves behind dear friends and family in Ontario, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Israel. Her wishes were in lieu of flowers please send donations to Southlake Hospital or Sick Kids Hospital so that her legacy of care and love may continue on through the children of Sick Kids.
