It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Maria - Marika as she was known to her immediate family and close friends.


Loving wife to the late Haralampos, beloved mother to her late son George (Sophia), beloved mother to her daughter Betty (Andrew).


Cherished grandmother to Bobby (Kim), Amanda (Mikheal), Gregory, Themis (Julia), Yianni (Adriana), Robbie and great-grandmother to Sofie, Andreas and Niko George.


Marika will be greatly missed by her siblings Aspasia (late Constantinos), Dimitra (late Thanasi), Panagiotis (Kiki) and her nieces and nephews Dimos, Angela, Sofia, Andreas,Vasiliki, Ntina, Miky and Yianni and many great nieces and nephews.


A heartfelt thank you to all the staff at Southlake Cancer Centre and Dr Baguio and his team, the entire ON In-Home Care team and a big thank you to our lovely SRT Nurse Sandra who made every visit with Marika so compassionate. A special thank you to Margaret Bahen Hospice and Nurse Barb whose compassion and respect for dignity was unmeasurable.

Viewing: Elgin Mills Funeral Centre, 1591 Elgin Mills Road East, Richmond Hill (SE corner of Elgin Mills and Leslie) 905.737.1720 on Sunday, October 27th starting at 4pm to 8pm.


Funeral Service: Saints Panteleimon, Anna and Paraskevi, 11323 Warden Avenue, Markham on Monday, October 28th starting 12pm. Interment to follow at Elgin Mills Cemetery.
