In memory of

Maria Goretti Silva

January 6, 1965 -  September 5, 2022

The Silva family is saddened to share that Goretti passed away in the hospital after a long fought battle with Kidney Disease. She peacefully passed with Joe by her side on Monday morning, September 5, 2022 at the age of 57.

She is survived by her loving husband Joe and beloved children Stephanie & Matthew.

Cherished daughter to Lucinda and Manuel Silva. Sister, Tia and Madrinha to her beloved siblings, nieces and nephews. Avo to her besties Lily and Matteo. Mother-in-law to Xavier & Ariella who were loved as her own.

Born in Ribeira Grande, Sao Miguel, Portugal and raised in Toronto; she grew up close alongside her brothers & sisters, family and close friends.

She will be remembered as being big hearted, sweet and gentle with an abundance of humour. A relentless fighter who was passionate and as fierce as ever. Selfless, honest and unapologetically devoted loving wife and mother.

She will be missed dearly by all of those lucky enough to have been blessed by her life.
