Maria Eva Zelaya Garay

October 21, 1916 - March 19, 2023

On Sunday, March 19th at 4pm, Maria passed away accompanied by family at the age of 106.
She will be dearly missed by her daughters: Victoria Zelaya de Murgas and Eva Cerros. Her grandchildren; Sandra and Tania Murgas, Karen Cerros, Regis Murgas, Claudia Filian, Ever Cerros, Miguel Murgas and Daniel Cerros Jr. Great grand children: Cisco and Angel Thomas, Mia Cerros, Karena Thomas, Liliana Cerros, Jordin Filian, Rylan and Austin Cerros, Carmelo Filian, Camila Murgas and our angel Calleigh Cerros. Her extended Canadian families; Wong, Filian, Glumac, Thomas and her late furry friend Krypto.
She will also be missed by her extended families; Murgas, Tobar, Cerros and Moreira overseas in El Salvador and Australia.
In addition, her dear friends throughout her entire life in Costa Rica and Canada mainly from her days at Deerwood Creek Care Community and the soccer leagues run by her late son in law Daniel Cerros.

Niña Abuela was such a fun person and so loving. I loved when she would share about her life as a young girl. She was an amazing woman and I am going to miss her.
