It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our mother Maria on June 26, 2025. She went peacefully in her home with her family at her side.

She now joins her husband George, who passed in December 2013, her mother Eleni, and her father Apostoli.

She will be remembered by her children Polexeni, Eleni (Labi), Ted (Vangie), her grandchildren Christine (Mike), Vanessa (Robert), Jimmy (Becky), Vicky (Lefty), Johnny (Ekzel), Angel, Jenna, and her great grandchildren Kelis, Amaya, Pree, Livia, Louka, Eleni, Christos, and Alexandros.

Maria was born in Kefalonia, Greece, and immigrated by ship with her husband and two children to Canada in 1964, where they settled in Toronto. Maria and George worked hard at the University of Toronto and saved to buy their first home, where they raised their three children and watched their family grow to include 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
