In memory of

Margot Braune

August 22, 1920 -  July 6, 2016

It is with great sadness that the family of Margot Braune announce her passing on Wednesday July 6, 2016, at the age of 95. Margot will forever be remembered by Rudolf, her husband of 71 years. She was the best Mother ever to daughters, Gisela and Birgit, and proud Oma to Sean. She was selflessly devoted to family and friends, and will be greatly missed by all.

The interment will take place at Pine Hills Cemetery, Scarborough, and at the request of the family, will be a private affair.

I'll miss seeing her beautiful blue eyes, which always had such sparkle despite her years. I send my love to you all.

Margot was an amazing friend to my Aunt Elsbeth and mother Christl, as they all attended the same school in Halle/Saale. Our treasured relationship with Margot came about through Elsbeth's insistence that we get to know her friends in Scarborough. Rudi made it happen and we have been friends for close to four decades.

Our deepest sympathies go to Rudi, Gisela, Birgit and Sean. May the memory of your wife/mother/grandmother forever be a blessing and a source of comfort.
Much love, Monika and Andrew

I will always have the image of Mrs. Braune in the garden or yard wearing shorts and her long tanned muscular legs. So sorry to hear of her passing and sending love to both Birgit and Gisela, Sean and of course Mr. Braune.

I was fortunate to meet Margot for the first time in 1964. She was fully devoted to Rudy, Gisela, Birgit, and Sean. She was a lovely lady, lived a rich and full life, and will be greatly missed.
