In memory of
Mansour Mike Mansour
Michael Mansour, 71, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2023, at North York General Hospital after a courageous battle with multiple myeloma.
Born on August 20, 1951, in Tabriz, Iran, Michael moved to Canada in 1970 in pursuit of a new life filled with opportunities and success. It was in Ottawa University where he met his beloved wife, Jintana, and they soon moved to Toronto. Together, they faced the challenges of life with joy and determination, even when they had so little. Michael's skills and perseverance led him to become an engineer at Ryerson University before working his way to the role of general manager.
Michael's entrepreneurial spirit shone when his partners, now best friends, convinced him to establish his own company, Mansteel Limited, 36 years ago. The company grew to be highly successful, even expanding to include Mansteel Rebar. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Michael's legacy is rich in love, family, and the lasting friendships he cultivated throughout his life. Many considered him not only a friend and mentor but also a brother or father figure. Michael's compassion extended to those less fortunate than him, as he often assisted others in need, perhaps seeing a reflection of his own humble beginnings. His warmth, wisdom, and zest for life will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jintana; sons, Justin and Jonathan (Marija); sisters, Pouri and Pari (Kamran); brother, Kami (Pauline); nieces and nephews, Yaz, Naz, Diane (Emil), Sarah (Chris), Lucy (Matty), Rahee and Sam.
Michael's family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at North York General Hospital for their compassionate care, especially Dr. S. Ingber, Dr. A. Rosenblum, Dr. A. Sinha, and from Princess Margaret Hospital Dr. K. Stewart.
