Friends may call at the ELGIN MILLS FUNERAL CENTRE, 1591 Elgin Mills Road East, Richmond Hill (SE corner of Elgin Mills and Leslie) 905-737-1720 on Saturday, December 10, 2022 for a visitation starting at 1:00 p.m. A funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. with a burial to follow in section 18.

OBITUARY

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Mai Ly Ngo Luu. Mai Ly passed away peacefully to be with our God on Saturday, December 3rd, 2022, surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She was a loving and devoted mother to Lien, Vien, Amy and David and grandmother to Zoey, Vivian, Victoria and Zofia. She is preceded in death by her husband, Quynh; her mother, Que Ngoc, and her father, Binh Than.

Mai Ly was born in Vietnam and came to Canada in search of a better life for her family. She worked tirelessly to support her family. Her strength, courage and determination were an inspiration to us all.

In her free time, Mai Ly enjoyed cooking, gardening and spending time with her family. She was known for her delicious home-cooked meals, and she made sure that everyone was well-fed and happy.

She will be deeply missed by her children, grandchildren, as well as her extended family and many friends. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all the medical professionals and staff at Scarborough Health Network and Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre who cared for her during her 2 year battle with cancer.
