I am very saddened to hear of Maddalena's passing. She was a kind, bright and ever-curious friend on the 6th Floor of Ross in the evening hours, who was filled with wonderful stories and a vibrant sense of humour. Always sweet and generous in her warmth. Fondly remembered and much missed.

As a faculty member at York University, I had many pleasant conversations in Italian when I was working late and Maddalena came by to keep the Political Science corridors clean. She was a wonderful, warm person and her passing is a great loss.
