<div itemprop="description">&nbsp; <p> &nbsp;The family of Mabel Boyd Campbell sadly announces her death on Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at Kensington Hospice. Mabel was born on May 24, 1914 to Angus Parkinson and Lillian Glady in Kemptville, Ontario. She was the beloved wife of Samuel Stevens Campbell (deceased 1992), her pride and joy for 53 years. Mabel will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Catherine Filman (David), Mary Campbell (Carolyn Boyd), and Jane Campbell (John McLeish). Mabel was the devoted and beloved grandmother of Hugh Filman (Marie), James Filman and Morgan Filman. She will be greatly missed by her adored great grandchildren, Victoria, Sofia, Oliver, Robyn, and Jacob. She is survived by her loving sister, Louise Kneiling, (Staten Island, New York) and Louise&rsquo;s sons, John, David, and Richard and their families.&nbsp; Mabel was an accomplished pianist, an outstanding and much respected teacher, (North Toronto Collegiate and Lawrence Park Collegiate 1951-1975), world traveller, gardener, bridge player, baseball enthusiast, and devoted friend. Mabel was known for her amazing memory, keen sense of humour and her love of life! Her remarkable intellect remained intact until the end.&nbsp; The family wishes to express its heartfelt thanks to the doctors and nursing staff at North York General, Toronto General, (Coronary ICU) and especially the &ldquo;angels of mercy&rdquo; at Kensington Hospice. The family would also like to thank Gliceria Alzola, her devoted helper and companion for the last 17 years.&nbsp; Special thanks as well to Regina, Aida and Mary who cared for her with such compassion.
