In memory of

Lynette P. Modeste

September 20, 1946 -  May 2, 2023

Our beloved Lynette Philippa Modeste went to be with her Heavenly Father at age 76. She was born in Arouca, Trinidad & Tobago on September 20, 1946, and moved to Canada in 1999.

She is survived by her son Allistair Reason (wife Carolina), of New York, and daughter Maria Modeste, of Trinidad; siblings Loraine, Ann, Merle, and Lloyd; grandchildren, Chad, Chaz, Chelsea, Zachary, and Allistair, Jr.; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Lynette’s faith and her strong relationship with God were the foundation of her life. Throughout the years she enjoyed attending church, fellowship, and being involved in ministries. She worked as a home health aide and poured love and care into all of her clients, it brought her joy. Upon retiring, she thoroughly enjoyed long morning devotions and prayer time with the Lord, she would describe these times with much enthusiasm as “the highlight of her day”. Although her battle with cancer was unexpected, her faith in God allowed her to be at peace. Her fervent faith made an impact on the lives of her family and all those who knew her and has brought comfort to many grieving hearts.

The viewing ceremony will be held on Monday, May 8, 2023, at 10 a.m., followed by the funeral at 11 a.m. at Global Kingdom Ministries in Scarborough, ON. The burial will take place at 1:30 p.m. at the Duffin Meadows Cemetery in Pickering, ON.

The family wishes to send a special thank you to her extended family, the Reason sisters, for their attention, love, care, and compassion during her last days.

Their service will be available on the day of the funeral via a live stream. The link to the live stream is (gkmevents.ca)
