In memory of

梁周麗嫦夫人 Luu Quyen Phung

August 28, 1915 -  February 13, 2020

An ode to a centenarian who was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, wife, mother, and grandmother. May she rest in unconditional peace as her generous soul lives on through her loving family members.
================================================================================================================================================

Born in China, lived and worked in Saigon, Vietnam, Luu Quyen then immigrated with her daughter to south western Ontario after the Vietnam War. There she settled in Chatham, Ontario, living with her daughter to help raise her granddaughters, as well as Toronto, Ontario, where she lived with her step-grandsons and step-granddaughter.

Determined as well as physically and mentally strong, she survived her late husband, brother, sister, and only daughter. As a centenarian, she witnessed and experienced numerous events and milestones - ultimately sharing a wealth of knowledge, lessons learned, laughter, and joy to everyone she encountered.

Rest in peace dear, Luu Quyen - you are much loved!

In loving memory to my dearest, wise, quick-witted, and generous grandmother. She lived an adventurous life, which brought her over from Vietnam to Canada. Together with my late mother, the both of them worked tirelessly to ensure my father and my sisters had everything we need to enjoy the comforts of our day-to-day. Physically and mentally- her strength is something to be admired and I will take her memorable and unrelenting force and apply it into my own life journey.

A true soldier until the end, I will forever miss her presence, but I know she’s always going to be with me and my sisters. I love you “Paw”.
