In memory of

Lusheng Wang 王鹭生

October 22, 1966 -  November 28, 2021

Lusheng Wang (Lou, 王鹭生) passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on November 28, 2021. Our hearts are broken, but we smile as we picture his radiant smile in our minds. He is greatly missed by his wife Mengyu (Eleanor, 王萌育), and two children Margaret (王睿妍) and Jeffrey (王睿鹏). Lou is one of seven children - he will be remembered as a son, brother, uncle, and cousin to many.

Lou was born on October 22, 1966, in Xiamen, China. He grew up playing in the mountains of southeast China, before completing his undergraduate studies in Quanzhou. Here, he met Eleanor, who would become his life partner.

Seeking adventure and a better future, he moved to the United States in 1991, where he completed his MBA degree at Baruch College of the City University of New York. In 1999, he moved to Canada, where he and Eleanor raised their two children. Lou and Eleanor celebrated 30 years of marriage this year. His two children were the light of his life - Margaret just started medical school at Brown University this fall, and Jeffrey is a third-year student in Computer Science at Western University.

Lou lived a simple life. He loved running, biking, gardening, and listening to music. A lover of life, his mantra was “don’t worry, be happy”. His generosity kept giving even at the end of his life as an organ donor. Lou was the glue that kept our family together. We already miss his loud music, endless banter, flurry of text messages, and warm, often overbearing hugs.

A private celebration of life will take place on Sunday, December 5, 2021, at the York Funeral and Cemetery from 12-2 pm. Lunch and refreshments will be served. If you have any stories about Lou you would like read at the ceremony, please submit them here:

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to the Sunnybrook Brain Sciences Foundation or a charity of your choice.

Gone too soon!
Born to amuse, to inspire, to delight
Here one day
Gone one night
Like a sunset
Dying with the rising of the moon
Gone too soon
