In memory of

Louis Ilias Colomvakos

January 1, 1945 -  January 30, 2023

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father and grandfather, Louis, after a valiant battle with cancer. Louis passed away at home, surrounded by the love of his family. He was a caring husband to Rouli, to whom he was married for 53 years, the proud father of Angie (Drew) and Susie (Ian) and father-figure to many. He was the cherished papou of Kate, Abby, Elliott and Avery, who brought him great joy.

Louis was a generous and kind man who was devoted to his family, working hard to provide for and support them throughout all the stages of their lives. His resilience and integrity were inspiring, and he was often heard doling out advice that a positive attitude and active living were the key to a healthy and happy life. He will be dearly missed by those who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.

Friends may call at the ELGIN MILLS FUNERAL CENTRE, 1591 Elgin Mills Road East, Richmond Hill (SE corner of Elgin Mills and Leslie) 905-737-1720 on Thursday, February 2, 2023 for a visitation starting at 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the chapel at Elgin Mills on Friday, February 3, 2023 at 11 a.m with interment to follow at ELGIN MILLS CEMETERY.

In memory of Louis, please consider a donation to the Markham Food Bank as he was passionate about supporting charities that feed the hungry, or The Shakir Rehmatullah Cancer Centre at Markham Stouffville hospital whose staff took such good care of him over the last seven months.

May his memory be eternal.

Sending so much love to the entire Colomvakos family. Louis was a ray of light and kindness. A gentle man with an incredible work ethic. He demonstrated so much love and generousity to Rouli, Susie and Ian, Angie and Drew, his grandchildren and extended family. We Hardys are so fortunate to be included in that extended family, and we saw first-hand how much he loved his family, and how deeply they loved him. Louis leaves an incredible legacy: the wonderful Colomvakos/Hardy/McNaughton children and grandchildren. Deepest condolences. May he rest in peace.

Susie I am so saddened to hear of your dads death. He looks so handsome and gentle. I am aware of how close you have been to your parents and this will leave a big void in your life. I feel very sad for you and will keep you in my prayers. Please pass on my thoughts and prayers to Angie and your mom. Lots of love. Jean
